Significant issues have arisen due to the resale and transfer of race numbers.
To prevent this, the Seoul Marathon Secretariat will implement the following policy starting from 2025:
For those unable to participate in the 2025 Seoul Marathon due to injury or unavoidable circumstances, if you return your race number (including chip) to the secretariat by courier after receiving your race materials, you will be granted priority registration for the 2026 Seoul Marathon. (This applies only to items received by March 13, 2025)
If the resale or transfer of race numbers is detected, the individual will be banned from participating in the Seoul Marathon for the next 5 years. A reporting channel for race number resale and transfer incidents will be operated.
The Seoul Marathon Secretariat will continue to do its utmost to ensure that all participants can take part in the event fairly and safely.
