■ Consider runner’s health status

Injury and death accidents may occur during the Seoul Marathon 2024.

Runners must check their health status before registration.

The host will prepare ambulances on main points for precautionary purposes. However, for injuries and accidents that occur during the race, the insurance company will compensate within the accident insurance amount insured. The host will not be responsible for this incident. Runners must check their health status from a medical institution and decide for yourself whether you can participate in the race.



■ Insurance Coverage (TBD)

The 2025 Seoul Marathon will be covered by business liability insurance.

※ On Race day, please arrived early at the venue, warm up and prepare for race.



■ Qualification

Full Course : Anyone who is 18yrs old or above and agrees with instructions.

-Applicants who submitted official records (Only offline competition official record issued between Jan. 1st, 2023 ~ Dec. 31th, 2024 / Full: within 4:59:59, Half: within 2:11:59, 10K: within 00:59:59)

* Exceptions for early bird applicants.


10K : Anyone who is physically healthy and agrees with instructions.

(Those who did not submit records for group assignment are assigned to the last group.)

*Participants who are active registered athletes in track and field, triathlon, modern pentathlon, and similar sports where performance is measured and ranked, as well as participants who have been registered as Korea Association of Athletics Federation athletes or have participated in nationwide competitions as regional representatives within the past 2 years, will be excluded from the awards ceremony.

■ Cancellation and refund

Participation can be canceled until 5:00 PM on December 31th, 2024 (Mon)

* Card cancellation: In case of credit card payment, approval will be canceled after identity verification. Depending on the credit card company, cancellation and refund may take from 3 to 7 days.

* Entry withdrawal: Message our operator for a cancellation through Dongma Club(dongmaclub.channel.io).



■ Gathering and Departure Guidance

Full course - Participants must arrive before 7:00 a.m. at Gwanghwamun Square.

10K - Participants must arrive before 7:00 a.m. at Jamsil Sports Complex.


Please changing your clothes in the changing room installed at the meeting point, leave them at the locker, and gather at the starting line after warming up sufficiently.


Departure begins at 8 a.m. in the order of the Hall of Famer, A, B, C, D, E, F, G groups (10km group departure).

※If you leave the group, you will be disqualified (moving to a lower group is possible).

The record is a net-time method that is measured from the moment you step on the mat at the starting point. For the safety of participants, please start with plenty of time.


Please use public transportation because parking vehicles are not permitted around the meeting point.



■ Time Limit Guidance

The Marathon course runs through the center of the Seoul Metropolitan City. The race time is strictly limited to 5 hours for full course (for 10K, 1.5 hours) in order to minimize citizen’s traffic inconvenience.

Traffic control will be lifted after the time limit, so please cooperate to complete the course within time and be sure to follow the instructions of the staff.

The organizer is not responsible for any accidents that occur on the road after the traffic control release or for the negligence of participants.



■ Changing room and Locker

For the convenience of participants, changing rooms and lockers are provided.

Participants are requested to leave their belongings with sufficient time before departure.

When retrieving your items after completing the course, please present the item storage sticker provided when storing your items.

(But, valuables are not accepted, and headquarters not responsible for the loss.)

There have been cases of cash and valuables being stolen at the marathon venue, so participants should be aware of this.

Please do not carry cash or valuables other than what you need on the day.



■ Drinks and Snacks

Participants are provided with water and ion drinks at every 5km and the finish line. Water sponges are provided every 5km from 7.5km. Also, nutritional supplements will be ready at 15km and 25km and 35km.



■ Timing Chip

The recording method is Net-Time, which is measured from the moment it passes the starting point.

When you receive the courier, please check whether the BIB and recording chip are included. If there is any problem, please contact the Seoul Marathon (02-361-1410).

The record measurement chip is attached to the back of the BIB, and please check the following notice.

1. Do not bend or remove the timing chip.

2. You must wear the BIB with the chip attached to receive your valuable record.

(Be sure to wear it outside the front so that the BIB can be visually checked.)

3. Chips are disposable and do not need to be returned.

If you do not attach a BIB (chip) or do not pass the sensors installed at the start, finish line, and every 5km point, your record will not be measured and you will be disqualified.



■ Disqualification

After payment is complete, transfer of participation qualifications and proxy participation are not permitted.

In case of changing participants, participating as a substitute, are disqualified and no record certificate will be issued. In addition, any cheating that interferes with or makes it difficult to accurately measure the record, such as running with someone else's chip, and the participant involved in this, will not be recognized.

Please note that those who do not attach the BIB or who have modified will not be allowed for the race. Also, your participation will be stopped by the staff and your record will not be recognized, there may be disadvantages such as participation restrictions in the future.



■ Related to Racepack

Race BIB and souvenirs will be sent via courier to the address you entered when registered, and courier costs will be borne by the organizer.

Participant items will be sent before the competition. (Scheduled to be shipped sequentially from February 26th)


Finisher medals can only be received on site for finishers.



■ Privacy Policy

The Seoul Marathon collects identifiable information such as name, phone number, and date of birth from participants.

-Required information : Personal information such as name, date of birth, venue, address, contact information, e-mail, etc. is used for insurance subscription provided by the organizers and information regarding the competition (e-mail, text message sending), etc. Information may be shared with sponsors and partners.

We do not disclose personal information to others or other companies or organizations for other commercial purposes.

However, personal information may be disclosed to take legal action if the applicant violates the participant precautions and terms of use, causes legal damage to others, or harms public morals.



■ Group Registration

Group registrations are not accepted, only individual registrations are accepted. 
Applicants are participants, and changing the recipient name does not modify the participant.



■ Etc.

Seoul Marathon Headquarters has the authority to disqualify participation, invite special guests, suspend and cancel the event (participation fees are non-refundable in case of event cancellation due to natural disasters), and change the course.

The Seoul Marathon Headquarters can take videos and photos of participants participating in the 2024 Seoul Marathon.

The results can be posted on advertisements, SNS, and website operated by the 2025 Seoul Marathon.

Other matters are subject to the 2025 Korea Association of Athletics Federations competition rules.
